Bootsjan traditional wooden boatyard was founded in 2010 by Jan Vogt (master boat builder since 1996). We build wooden boats in the old proven way. In particular, we have three small series in which we build small clinker-built traditional workboats, Dingy, Jolle and Kutter, in larch on oak. By using our labour to create things and refine materials, we can achieve higher values through a more sustainable way of working. We only use high-quality materials which, in combination with our craftsmanship, result in durable and easy-care products.
The scope of our work has expanded over the years to include new boat builds of all types, carpentry and joinery.
In the summer of 2017 we moved the shipyard to the beautiful Danish island of Lyø because we wanted to expand and improve the potential.
